Nariño is a small valley in the south of Colombia, near of the Andes hills, in this place you can found coffee plantation, not biggest, but important, because in the hill, in the altitude, grow up an especial coffee varietal, mixed of Robusta and Arabic, a unique kind of coffee bean, I wanna talk with this and ask many questions for the production and coffee. The farmers are owners of this plantation, so you can see an organic and small scale production of coffee, and taste it in origin. My grandma was born in “San Juan de Pasto”, the capital city of Nariño Department, she always told me about this special town, where the Catholic Santería is the most important religion. Witches and Priestess are the queens, they can bring you health and love, they know the herbal secrets and can see the forces of this life and another, and they are very respect. I wanna visit this place in my holidays, taste the most especial coffee of the world and perform his summer carnival “white and black”, where they celebrate the intercultural influence of the town, how the African slaves and the Christian Spanish origins the Santería, the local culture and respect their roots, this time to celebrate, drink, dance and say thanks to God and Orishas.
